<p>Two weeks ago, two American journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee of San Francisco-based Current TV, were detained by North Korean border soldiers.</p>
<p>North Korea has issued only two brief statements about the women. The first said they were being investigated and the second that they would stand trial for illegal entry and hostile acts toward the country. But Pyongyang hasn&#8217;t officially notified Washington of the charges, a State Department spokesman told the <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123866910243782031.html">Wall Street Journal</a> this week.</p>
